Lions Clubs

Almost all of the buildings at VCB are "adopted" by Lions and Leo clubs in MD-20, who donate money, time or products and equipment. Over 250 Lions, Lioness and Leo Clubs throughout MD-20 provide financial and volunteer support. With Lions help, the 35-acre VCB facility continues to provide respite, rehabilitation and social support

All programs at VCB are offered free of charge for individuals of all ages who are blind or visually impaired, and their families, almost all of whom are very low income.

Here are examples of some ways your Lions Club can help VCB:

  • Adopt a building, help VCB on clean up days and donate materials and equipment for your building
  • Join us on our next VCB LIONS Volunteer Work Day, Saturday June 3, 2012.
  • Refer blind people of ages for services at VCB and drive them to VCB from your community.
  • Provide money for scholarships to attend VCB.
  • Engrave a Brick or buy a chair or bench and set your club memories in stone.
  • Attend VCB Lions Family Day on Sunday August 5, 2012.

Lions and VISIONS share a vested interest in assisting adults and children who are blind to be successful in their communities across New York State. Not only do you share our "vision" – you share our passion to make a difference.  VISIONS Center on Blindness VCB welcomes you to join us in this effort.
